Time for school 2010

This morning I just enrolled Safiyyah to her lovely Tadika Islam. The educators are new. Only Mardiana left in the kindergarten. Safirrah...next year will do.

Then I registered Safiyyah into standard 1 for 2011. SK Taman Tun Dr Ismail 2. It only a walking distance from her grandparents house.

School starts next week. I felt this year's holidays was a quick one. Maybe because I am too full with activities. Australia, Syukry's wedding, Tok Jah been hospitalized, and registering Safiyyah.

Balik Penang...

Last Sunday I could not sleep. Anxious to go for kuliah subuh @ Masjid Damansara Damai. Ustaz Heryanto Rizal will discuss a topic in Bahrul Mazi. I slept for only 10 minutes that day. The discussion were on Chapter 26: Meminta Mati. It was an interesting topic.

I got home at 8 am. I was relaxing while the tv watches me. Then Sabila got a call from her dearly father. Tok Jah was hospitalised due to stroke that stike her earlier. She was sent to Kepala Batas Hospital.

We decided to go back to Penang. Che Na was with us. We depart at noon and arrived in Kepala Batas at 5pm. All the families came to Penang to see Tok Jah.

We stayed at Hotel Sri Malaysia Kepala Batas. I am really tired and even ayah want us to join him for dinner I have to say no.

I tried to get Ustaz Hanif from Zubaidiyah in Merbok but he is quite busy that day.

Next day we went to see Tok Jah before going back home. It looks like she is getting better but still she needs to use nasal prone to help her breath.

We arrived home at 730pm.

Perghh...penat

In addition, petang tu hujan lebat...so...tau je la macam mana KL kalau hujan :)

But that was not the best part...the best part apabila Syukry dipekenakan dengan order yang beraneka jenis....bila time nak bayar all of us pun kata, "terima kasih banyak-banyak....", dan dengan selamba dia pun jalan sekali...bil? terpaksa ler abang dia yang kacak ni settlekan...tapi tuntut balik nanti....16 + 8 = RM 500.30 ok tak? ok ler kot....saudara dari Penang kata...kenyang sampai besok nie....awat tak habaq kata nak pi makan lagu ni? menyesai makan nasik tadi...

Hari Ahad they all akan balik....tapi tak tau pukul berapa lagi...insya allah jumpa lagi

My Aussie Adventure 2009- Back to Singapore

@orchard road...boleh makan ke coklat nih?
@orchard road...sibuk betul budak2 ni nak ambik gambar

@orchard road...this one is classic

Aeroline lounge....makan dulu...

We went back to Singapore on 7th December again with Etihad. It was the only flight that day and it is scheduled for 1235pm. We arrive in Singapore at 6pm and we spent our night at Royal at Queens in Queens Street.

My personal experience....Singapore is boring...the only place one can enjoy is in Sentosa Island.

The next morning we head to Orchard Road and just having a window shopping. The decorations are wonderful but it is not a place where you will find shopping a hobby.

Before 4pm we took a taxi to Harbourfront. Our shuttle will depart at 615pm. We got to do some last minute shopping for souvenirs from Singapore.

I requested to sit at the lounge in Aeroline. The kids will be sleeping through out the journey. Estimated time of arrival was 1115pm. This time I got all the documents ready.
So....bye2 Singapore.

My Aussie Adventure 2009-Carrara Market

so near yet so far

My Aussie Adventure

Many said Carrara Market is just like Shah Alam Market. I strongly do not agree. The arrangement of the stalls are really nice. They even have their own map. There are lots of goods there. They even separate the second hand goods and the rejected branded goods. The streets are well kept clean.

Found few Malaysians who had their stall there. Got a few interesting stuff but I could not spare more space in my baggage.

We only spent half day there then we went to had our meal at Nandos...Surfers Paradise

We parked our car neJustify Fullarby the food chain. We head to Nandos and bought our meals. I went to the nearest grocery and bought drinks.

While we were there we saw a dispute between the employee and a customer who is not satisfied for the price of a burger. He bought two burgers for the price of AUD 30 but it does not include drinks. Not quite sure how it starts and how it ends. I am expecting a brawl hahahahaha

We went back to the resort and relax the whole evening there. The resort situated nearby the Hinze Dam which supply water to Gold Coast. This place are called the Gold Coast Hinterland. It is really beautiful here.
Justify Full
The children fed the wildlife with breads....the birds came from all over to them waiting to be fed.

My Aussie Adventure

Movie World....here we come......

It is about 23 minutes drive along the highway to Movie World from our place.

We arrived at 10am and Safiyyah were keep on asking where's batman? where's batman?...nanti ler...dia tak mandi lagi....

We went to have few pictures taken and headed straight to the kids zone....best jugak

Children really enjoys....the crowd is not that heavy and the games are all in good condition.

The characters at Movie World made the whole thing more memorable.

We really do heavy shopping there. The kids bought them a costume each. Safiyyah with her Robin costume, Safirrah and Sayyidah help themselves with Batman costume. Sabila and I bought ourselves polo tee and souvenirs to be brought home...
We stop by at the Pacific Fair before headed home. It is a shopping complex. But its not like 1U, Atria, or MValley. It is just a simple complex with lots of shops. Xmas is just around the corner and the sales are on. Discounts kept coming in. I bought two jerseys for the price of one and I got a wallabies wearing aussie jersey for AUD 12.
My family and I had kebab for dinner...then we had straight to resort.

Tomorrow...Carrara Market.

My Aussie Adventure 2009- Cedar Lake Resort

halal food here....sedap makanan sini....really sedap two thumbs up

ready to look for dinner

My Aussie Adventure

We arrived at the resort about 530pm...nearly closing....

After checking in, we went to buy dinner. I brought with the list where I can find halal food nearby the places where I will be staying. The nearest place in Nerang selling halal food is about 5 minutes drive.

It's a seafood shop. The owner told me that he is quite surprise I came and told him I knew his place from the halal hub from the islamic forum of Australia. He told me the oil is halal but the beef and the chicken are not as they slaughter them himself. It cost him lots of money to get into the halal market. The oil are not mixed up. The oil uses for fish are separated from the others.

I had a good chat with the owner and I really appreciate with his initiative to get the halal certification. Then I went to buy some groceries from Coles supermarket.

At the end of the day...we had a good rest in our room. It had 2 bedrooms, a furnished kitchen, a bathroom, and our room facing the lake...what a view....

My Aussie Adventure 2009-Sea World

viking revenge....the 2 girls really enjoy....we went 2 rounds
@ entrance to the sesame street beach

Mr. Walrus greet us...belakang tu tempat dolphins

@main entrance...newly show will be present here

My Aussie Adventure

The next adventure begins....

We started our day with the excitement to the Sea World. It is just 5 minutes journey from the place we are staying. It opens at 9 am until 5pm. I bought the summer pass which entitle us to multiple entry through summer which is until end of June 2010.

As we enter the theme park, we were amazed by two families who went into the water with dolphins.

Then we stroll down to the Sesame Street Park. Kids played most of the games there and the do allow parents to sit with their children. The minimum height is 95cm and the maximum height is 105cm. For the carousel...parents are encourage to sit with kids below 95cm.

We went to see the bull shark, penguins, polar bears, dolphins, and a few show as the sesame show where Elmo, Big Bird, Ernie, Bert and others put up a wonderful show for the children.

We miss the dolphins show....we were just late about 3 minutes. They do not let us in. We were back to the main entrance and saw the full rehearsal of the newly show at Sea World.
We spent the whole day there...next stop...Cedar Lake Resort, Nerang-Advancetown.

My Aussie Adventure 2009-Surfers Paradise

@ the beach
Maharani...mahal jugak la

@ Paradise Resort...kid's room

My Aussie Adventure

We drove our way to Gold Coast. It's a long stretch highway and it took about an hour. I drove half way and asked Sabila to take over my place. She drove straight and took an exit heading to Broadbeach. So we have to drive up north to Surfers Paradise.

The Paradise Resort located at Ferny Avenue beside Mobil petrol station. The resort really nice and it really meant for family. The children had their own room with two bed and a TV. They also put in a PS2 in the room for the children.

Later I went to the famous Surfers Paradise walkabout. I went to the beach and had a sightseeing of my own. It is hot but the wind blows from the sea really cool the heat off. I went to look for

halal food around and I tried to find Malaysia Restaurant. I found Maharani, a Malaysian Restaurant. The restaurant really gave a jump. A plate of lamb with briyani cost AUD 14, I better go and find other food....kebab maybe...or Nandos perhaps.

I bought fruit juice and milk from the nearby store. Then I continue to Nandos. AUD 40 for 2 whole chicken, 1 seriously large fries and 2 cup of rice. Boleh la....rather than yang sebelum tu...

If anyone would want to find an accommodation in Surfers Paradise (family)....I would strongly recommend Paradise Resort.

My Aussie Adventure 2009-Arriving in Brisbane

My Aussie Adventure

We arrived in Brisbane about 9am. We all head to the washroom first. Safiyyah, Safirrah, and Sayyidah took a sip at the nearest water cooler available. I continue to fill in the boarding pass to Australia. Declaring dairies and other necessary stuff we brought with us. We picked up our rental car at Thrifty's Booth located the at the same level of arrival. I had to pay extra for two baby seats and 1 booster for Sayyidah, Safirrah, and Safiyyah repectively.

Up to our surprise the car we rent was really comfortable. It was Toyota Corolla. Luckily it is a right hand drive. The petrol is already filled full. I decided to stop at the nearest petrol station to buy milk and breads for our breakfast that morning.

The adventures begin......

We do it just like the old school...we opened a map and drove straight to the centre of Brisbane. We are heading to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary (macam Sepilok). Earlier I was told that I will pass tolls and it is payable at selected petrol stations and supermarkets. Okay....that's easy...

We wonder about 1.5 hours to the sanctuary. Actually it only took 45 minutes from the airport. We got to see the beauty of Brisbane where we went to the highest peak of Brisbane. It is just nearby the Botanic Garden.

We arrived at the sanctuary at 1135am. We went to look for the Koalas and Kangaroos. Snapping here and there. The children really enjoyed themselves.
Next stop....Paradise Resort, Surfers Paradise.

My Aussie Adventure 2009

@ Changi Airport b4 boarding
@ Changi Airport b4 boarding

@ Changi Airport after arriving

@ Changi Airport after dinner at Burger King

in the Aeroline....selesa betul

My Aussie Adventure 2009

We bought three tickets from Aeroline in 1U on 2nd December 2009 for Singapore. We weill be arriving at Harbourfront about 5pm the same day. The journey took 5 hours. We were served with rice and a movie of Chun Li and The Taking played by Nicolas Cage. It was a pleasant journey.

The journey took a break of 15 minutes at Pagoh RnR area. We are almost there.....

I had a problem which is not that big in order to enter Singapore. I did not fill up the boarding pass...(i don't know we have to do so...) thus I caused the journey to delay about 10 minutes...
Then we had our dinner at the nearby McD...we ate filet-o-fish, fries and 20 pieces of nuggets...and we shared a cup of milo. The price are more the less same here (if you only look at the figure but not the value...remember 1 thing when you were out of the country....DO NOT CONVERT OKAY...)
We took a taxi to Terminal 2 of Changi Airport and it costs us SGD 22. They have this extra charges after 5pm. Our flight were scheduled for 1135 and the earliest time we can check in was at 9pm.
Although Singapore do have muslims...sadly its hard to pray at the airport. We can only do that after we checked-in as the prayer room available is located in the boarding area. When I asked one of the personnel (he is a muslim), he directed me to the back of the stairs where not many people use the passage way. I do not mind to take my wudhu' from the toilet but not to pray at a place where someone can walk over me while I am praying.
Etihad Airlines served us pleasantly and we are happy with their service. One thing we proud of Etihad was it recites doa before taking off. I am not sure other airlines do the same. I can barely sleep thru the flight. It flew 8 hours over the continent before reaching Brisbane. We flew over Darwin in 6 hours after took off and Brisbane took another 2 hours.
We got to know a Malaysian stewardess on the flight. We had a chat and she looks happy having us, Malaysian, on the flight.

Lambat...lambat

Got hook up with many things especially with my notebook. I had trouble with my notebook and hope it is resolve now. FYI I had just printed out my pictures two days ago. It costs me RM 552 to be exact. I print it out at Tesco Mutiara Damansara. There is a HP booth at the corner of the electrical appliance section. Only 5++ photos were printed out of 783.

Again....sorry for the delay ;)

TIba-Tiba.....tanpa diduga...

Today I went to Maxis Centre in TTDI to apply for roaming service to be added up. They asked me to show my passport for verification purpose which I did not bring with me. Is it a must? By the way....what I want to share here is not that....Later I went to my parent's house in TTDI which is not far from Maxis Centre.

Syukry and my father was not at home. Syazwan was calling for me to help me to prepare my mother for breakfast. I was told Syukry and my father went to DSC about 9 am. According to him, my father had a stomach ache around 3-4 am. So they went to DSC for further check up.

My mother was mumbling about the absence of Syukry. At one point I did what I have to do. To let her realize what is in front of her is the best part of her life. Her children and her dear husband tried so much to put her back in shape. And we are still not giving up hope.

My father was admitted into DSC due to pain at his stoma. Luckily Dr. Thong (his doctor) was there and decided to do the operation today. According to him, if the operation were not done today, most probably the tissue will be dead and it has to be cut-off. He was sent to the theatre at about 330 pm and was released at about 5 pm. Dr. Thong was relieved and spoke to us that it is all done and the tissue is saved.

He will be in the hospital for few days.

Just Jokes

I met my brother recently. He is currently pursuing a degree in veterinary. We had a discussion on animals in which his field. Then we came across this animal at which he failed to answer;

Me: What is the difference between horse and pony?
My brother: Their height differentiate them.
Me: Now differentiate these animals horse, pony and kuda?
My brother: .........

Me: Maybe the question is hard for you. Now let us try this question.
What are the differences between shark, jaws, yu and jerung?
And...
What are the differences between alligator, crocodile, and buaya?

Can anyone answer? hehehehe

All Prepared....

ETA, 1 night in Gold Coast, 1 night in Singapore, travel insurance, car rental, all checked....documents to bring are all in 1 place...luggage borrowed from my dear father in-law, Syukry will be the person in charge to send and pick me up.

MSL Travel done a very good job and very very consistent. Last Saturday I went to Gem Travel as MSL Travel were closed on Saturday and Sunday. I met Livea and told her what I need. She couldn't help me much because I wanted only a car rental and 1 night stay in Brisbane. She also said the company have to charge RM30 for each ETA. Since the rooms availability still need to be confirm as I am going with my kids, a suitable place will be update later. They can only confirm on Monday.

Monday morning I went to Affin Securities in Jalan Conlay transferring my Maxis to my dear father. Then I went to MSL Travel (the aussie specialist....) in Jalan Putra. Carmela was my travel consultant. She got the car rental for me, ETA are done with no charge, travel insurance with maximum coverage and a night in Gold Coast are well taken care of. She called me every day to inform the latest updates and to confirm the bookings. I am really happy with their services.

If anyone wanted to travel...I strongly recommends you to engage services from MSL Travel. They really giving their best and put us on top of their priorities.

On the way to Australia

It left 10 days to depart for Australia and money keeps going out.Still have not settle the matters on ETA, car rental and a night in brisbane. I went to Reliance yesterday and only booked a night in singapore at Royal Queens on the 7th. They did not have a contact in Australia for car rental services. They only have such services in New Zealand.

Ok then...I rang Gem Travel and they can do it for me but they only operate until 530pm. It was
already 5pm. I thought of going to their place the next day. It would be a rush if I go there now.

Early this morning I went to Gem Travel and mmet them up. Seems like quite hard to find a 1 night room that can accomodates 2 adults and 2 children. They can only help me to engage in car rental services if I stay at least three days at their hotels. Hmmmphh. Gem Travels are charging RM30 per ETA per person. They said it is the fee. If I apply by myself through the website, I may be charged in aussie dollars (according to them). I did a research before, last year, they only charge if we stayed more than 3 months and it would be free if it is less than that.

I did a lot of thinking nad thought of MSL Travel. They are labeled as the aussie specialist. I'll try to engage MSL Travel services then. They only open on Monday till Friday. Guess I have to wake up early then....

Ikan oh Ikan

Last weekend I went to Azreen's place just to pick up a set of aquarium with his fish. Up to my surprise there are three fishes in the aquarium. The biggest was Silver Arowana. We put in a sedative to get those fishes move into the plastic bag. We disassemble at about 5 pm and only can make a move at 7 pm. We tried to find the nearest fish shop but its about 20 km away. So we decided to head straight to Kota Damansara. The journey begins....

I have to drive at an average speed of 60kmph as I am afraid my trunk would open. It cannot be properly closed as the aquarium took so much place. Arriving at about 8pm, the fishes was already not looking weel...we set the aquarium up and let the fishes swam free...but then the silver arowana was a bit strange in behaviour. I asked Syazwan to do CPR on the fish as he is the will be doctor.

Tick Tock

Tomorrow is the last day of school and I really can't wait. I am going to Australia on the 2nd till 8th of dec with my family.

We will depart from 1u by taking aeroline at 12 noon and will be arriving about 5 pm.

I hope I can bring my whole family with me. Maybe 1 day.

Soo....Che' Na come and join us...tak payah pergi exam paling teruk pun repeat 1 sem hahahahaha

Maxis Yeeaaahhh

I woke up late this morning and reached work at about 745 am. I sat at my place and lend a hand to my colleague for their assignment. I looked at the date and find something familiar and need something to do today. It's 19 november....maxis will be listed this morning. I reached my iphone and browse through Bursa Malaysia. It's already 935 am. Maxis was priced at RM 5 at the opening. Highest was RM 5.5 and lowest was RM 5.28. At the end of the day it closed at RM 5.42.

I thought I didn't get the share. When I checked my result application thru MIH the result was 'sorry your application was unsuccessful'. Then my father gave me a letter from MIH after I sent Safiyyah to school. Guess what...I got the share hehehehehe

Rehearsal sebelum balik....anyway budak2 ni memang best

Akhiryrusannah 2009

It was 13th Nov. 2009 and the Malam Akhirussanah is abou to start, I met Shahruddin and hand him a walkie talkie. Sabila went to pick up Che' Na, Jas went to pick up Che' Pah (lewat coz KL jam...dia buat2 jam kot), ayah, mak and wan arrive at about 745. Sabila arrive 15 minutes later while jas and Che' Pah arrive 10 minutes after the ceremony started.

Fitri from TV3 came to be the master ceremony and he did not put a price for his service. He is 28 and still available plus he has no interest on celebritities. Girls out there..if you have a crush on Fitri you do have a chance.

The event was officiate by the representative of Menteri Wilayah Persekutuan dan Kesejahteraan Bandar, Tuan Hj Sazali bin Kamilan.

The event goes very smooth although there are a few mistakes here and there, the comittee got it tied back. They really act like they are paid for. No need for orders, we just do it when see there is a loopholes.

Safiyyah and her friends went up the stage and did her performance. The crowd ent like crazy. They went to the front of the stage passed the VVIP's table.

The event ended precisely at 11pm as scheduled. Magnificent taht is all I can say. Congratulations to the committee.

ps: will upload picture later and video if possible

Malam Akhirussanah 09

Sorry for the late breaking news, last wednesday SRA and TITTDI had a rehearsal at dewan komuniti ttdi. I am the right hand of Shahruddin aka floor manager. We calculate the time for the event and hope that the time do not slip so many at the time of the event.

Safiyyah took part in one of the performance that night. She had practices after school's final exam. She took part in boria (suppose to be in dikir barat but the dikir barat were being perform by students of SRA as they do not prepare any performance for that night). The song goes like this...

Assalammualaikum kami ucapkan
Kepada Ibu bapa
Guru dan Kawan
Tadika Islam buat persembahan
Untuk hiburan
Pendengar budiman....Ewahhh...

Pictures of the rehearsal will be upload later because I am too tired + a bit lazy :D

Lawatan Sambil Belajar

My mother in law was admitted into HKL due to his unhealed wound cause by her diabetic. So we decided to visit her in the evening. As we arrived in KL the rain started and it was cats and dogs all over KL. We stop at KLCC for a moment waiting for the rain to stop. Three little princesses wanted to visit Aquaria. Again???? Since we stuck here it is no harm to have a visit.

We had dinner at the nearest fast food restaurant...Burger King....then by 1915 we headed to HKL. Luckily we bought clouring book for them. They just couldn't sit still (mentang2 ler tok dia duduk bilik VVIP) plus I can watch K'tan vs N9 Final Piala Malaysia. K'tan were hammered down 3-1.

When its time for medication, the nurse in charge came with syringe (nak cucuk insulin) and the children sit still dare not to move. Not even a pin drop sounds. They really got scared hehehehe.

Takut nak gerak takut nurse cucuk

sibuk colour buku kakak dia

ini lah dikatakan lawatan sambil belajar
